As CKP continues to expand it’s always great to see and share some of the inspirations on a daily basis. Today we have another great story, this time
coming from Lee University.
In an article from the Cleveland Daily Banner, Regina Lawson (featured in photo on the far left) an Americorps VISTA from Lee University is featured for her work in Tennessee. Regina has led numerous projects at the University all having to deal with Homelessness and Hunger. You can read the whole article here.
They had no idea that people were living this way a mile away from our beautiful campus.
Regina has done many projects that truly key in on the priorities of CKP and our network as a whole. The same problems that we see in DC or New York are happening in small towns as well. As we continue to work with schools all over the country, this article does a great job of showing what the face of poverty looks like and what you can do to help.
Regina and Lee University are committed to their community and it truly shows in the article. Let’s all give them a thumbs up for their great work and hope to see our efforts continue across the country.
