CKP is excited to announce the second year of our CKP Fellowship Program, a leadership training institute developed with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.  Current fellows have spent this year learning skills to manage a nonprofit organization, discussing topics of nonprofit management and incorporate their ideas into innovative projects.  Current projects include developing a transportation strategy to connect social services of a rural community; solidifying nutrition education lessons; and further developing relationships with partnering agencies of Campus Kitchens.

In 2009-2010, the program will support 10 individuals selected from established Campus Kitchens across the country in a year-long fellowship that focuses on becoming nonprofit leaders in the community. The major components of CKP Fellowship Program include:

  • Direct Service: Lead the Campus Kitchen and collaborate with other Fellows across the Campus Kitchens network.
  • Leadership Training: Participate in a virtual education series and develop a mentor relationship with a nonprofit professional.
  • Service Learning: Impact the community with the development of an innovative Community Impact Project.

Fellows are eligible for a stipend of $1,250 for the academic year.

Please share the attached announcement and application with interested Leadership Team members and volunteers. Questions and applications (due May 15) can be directed to Erin Yudchitz at eyudchitz@campuskitchens.org.
