While the Campus Kitchens Project sub-grantees worked hard to organize and get meals out the door for MLK Day, among other things, hundreds of volunteers stopped through D.C. Central Kitchen to dice carrots, brush pastry, break bread, and help celebrate the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Below is a selection of pictures from the afternoon shift, when volunteers from Serve D.C., The Friendship Collegiate High School Leadership Program, Culinary Job Training students (on their second day of class!), and DCCK staff came together to make hunger relief happen. Enjoy!
