At The Campus Kitchens Project, we understand that hunger is just one symptom of poverty. We accompany our meals with a friendly face and Beyond Meals Initiatives that include:
Nutrition Education teaches the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Activities are developed for all age groups from kids to seniors and take into account the geographic and economic challenges that individuals face.
Culinary Job Training is a culinary-based training program for unemployed and underemployed adults. With the help of CKP staff and volunteers and local professional, trainees learn skills with the goal of obtaining unemployment in the food service industry.
Empowerment Programs empower individuals to achieve their own self-sufficiency through education.
