Student Coordinator and Leadership Team Applications are now available here and are due April 18th.

Below is a brief description of the available positions for the 2011-2012 school year.

Student Coordinators: Three Student Coordinators will oversee the main day to day operations of Campus Kitchens with the supervision of the VISTA coordinator. The Student Coordinators will be paid; 1 intern and 2 Federal work study employees. They will be the student “face” of the organization and will be the primary contact for maintaining relationships with both on and off campus partners

 

  • Food Resourcing Student Coordinator: This position will focus on the food recovery aspect of the organization; coordinating all of CKJHU’s food resourcing and serve as a face of Campus Kitchens to our donating partners. This will be a work study position.
  • Operations Student Coordinator: This position will focus on scheduling of shifts and will be responsible for all operational paperwork. This will be a paid internship position, with a max of $12 an hour, 10 hrs a week.
  • Programming Student Coordinator: This position will serve as the public relations face of the organization in charge of recruitment as well as overseeing special events, beyond meals programming and social media.  This position is a work study position

Executive Board Leadership Team Positions

Food Resourcing Committee

  • Food Resourcing Business Liaison: This person will work directly with the Food Resourcing Student Coordinator and Food Resourcing Committee to maintain relationships with our donating partners (not including Campus Dining).
  • Food Resourcing Dining Liaison:This person will work directly with the Food Resourcing Student Coordinator and Food Resourcing Committee to maintain relationship with Campus Dining.
  • Real Foods Garden Liaison: This person will serve as the student liaison between Campus Kitchens and the Real Foods garden coordinating the donation of produce to Campus Kitchens.

 

Volunteer Relations Committee

  • Director of Volunteer Relations: This person will be the main contact for volunteers and will be the primary person responsible for signing up volunteers.
  • APO Liaison: This APO member will be the liaison between Campus Kitchens and APO; they will advertise events to APO members and recruit volunteers for specific shifts/events.

 

Programming Committee

  • Social Media Director: This person will serve as the manager of all social media for CKJHU.
  • Director of Special Events: This person will oversee all CKJHU special events, working directly with the programming student coordinator and the programming committee.
  • Nutrition Education Coordinators (2): There students will directly manage the Beyond Meals programming, specifically the Waverly healthy cooking classes.

Application for Executive Board Positions


Shift Leaders:

  • Food Pickup Shift leader (10): Each food pickup shift leader is in charge of a certain weekly food pickup. They are responsible for picking up food each week according to a master schedule and bringing the food to our storage spaces.
  • Cooking Shift Leader: (4) Cooking Shift Leaders are each in charge of a particular weekly shift.  They provide instruction to the volunteers about the necessary tasks of the shift, monitor the volunteers’ adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines, take temperatures when necessary, and manage paperwork. Each Cooking Shift Leader must be ServSafe Certified and trained prior to leading their first cooking shift.
  • Delivery Shift Leader: (2) This person is responsible for the delivery of food/meals on a specific day of the week to one of our partner agencies.
